Learning about BOTOX® Cosmetic

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a simple, nonsurgical, physician-administered treatment that can temporarily smooth moderate to severe frown lines between the brows, forehead and side of eyes in people from 18 – 65 years of age. It is approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and is widely used by both men and women who what to smooth, reduce and temporarily eliminate frown lines in about 10 minutes!

 

BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment really takes just a few minutes to administer. In just a few tiny injections – and within days, there is a noticeable improvement in moderate to severe frown lines between the brows, forehead and side of eyes which can last up to 4 months. Results are typically successful but may vary between patients depending on the person.

 

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified protein produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacterium, which reduces the activity of the muscles that cause those stubborn frown lines between the brows, forehead and side of eyes to form over time.

What to expect at the Doctor’s Office

During the procedure – An experience and professional Prolase physician will administer the treatment in a private room. We will try our best to make you comfortable and will accommodate any request you might have. No anesthesia is required, although your doctor may choose to numb the area with a cold pack or anesthetic cream. The treatment, on average, will take about 10 minutes!

 

After the Procedure – There is no recovery time needed. You’re free and ready to get on with your day!

The Injection Process

ProLase understands the importance and seriousness of the BOTOX® Cosmetic treatment. That’s why we have a professional and experienced staff to administer the treatment. Our certified nurses or physicians will inject the BOTOX® Cosmetic into the areas that will give patients the results they want.

Our certified nurses of physicians will administer several tiny injections of BOTOX® Cosmetic directly into the muscles that causes those moderate to severe frown lines between the brows and forehead.
Our staff will determine where to administer the injections by examining your ability to move certain muscles in your brow or forehead area. The location size and use of the muscles that create a furrowed brow vary markedly among individuals.

 

• No anesthesia is required, although your doctor may choose to numb that area with a cold pack or anesthetic cream prior to injecting. Discomfort is usually minimal and is only temporary.

 

• You can expect to be in and out of the physician’s office without downtime. You may see a marked improvement in the moderate to severe frown lines between your brows and forehead within days. Improvement may continue for as long as a month and typically lasts up to 4 months.
